  • An exciting opportunity to work with us as our Production Manager has emerged!

    This individual would be a central part of the team focused on planning and delivery with the producing team and our partners to bring our events to life. A big portion of this role would be supporting the delivery of Innovations Contemporary Dance Platform.

    Dance Horizons works with a diverse multitude of dance and theatre makers as well as organisations and venues to deliver our events to a high standard.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Overseeing and managing technical and production requirements for shows and events in line with the needs of the company and our partners.

    • Taking the lead, showing initiative and resourcefulness in working with artists to ensure their work is realised to its full potential in a performance setting.

    • Oversee Health & Safety in relation to production which can include compiling and maintaining risk assessments and compliance requirements.

    • Be a proactive member of the Dance Horizons team in liasing directly with artists, venues and partners in a professional, timely manner.

    • Work with the rest of the team on site on production days supporting the delivery of the events with venue teams or operating shows where needed dependant on technical experience.

    • Produce production run documents for events and performance. Working with the producers and team to ensure events run to time, safely and to schedule.

    • Where needed, support the team with the submission of funding applications through sourcing of quotes and production costs for budgets and planning.

      This post is offered in a project contract capacity as a freelance professional. Competitive pay based on experience.

  • Dance Horizons is looking to work with a commercial producer as part of our senior structure as we enter a new phase of development for the business. This role will engage a producer with existing experience to focus on commercial producing opportunities within Scotland, the UK and abroad.

    The associate producer would work with the CEO and Executive Producers and the job role and remit will be built to suit the individual’s capacity, skills, expertise and the needs of the organisation.
